You are right in the heart of the French Quarter, where old brick and stucco houses with their wrought-iron balconies overlook the narrow streets. Take your time and get to know this colorful and historic area. Are you interested in architecture? Antique stores? The famous Creole cuisine? Traditional Dixieland Jazz? You will find all this and more on and around Bourbon Street. If you are too tired for walking, you can take a carriage. Guided carriage rides are available as well and start at Jackson Square.
